When you become an ISA Certified Arborist Utility Specialist®, you are recognized by your peers and the public as a tree care professional who has attained a specialty in utility arboriculture with a generally accepted level of knowledge in other areas within the tree care profession, such as tree biology, diagnosis, maintenance practices, safety, as identified through periodic job task analyses.
This virtual training course will follow domains in the Utility Arboriculture: The Utility Specialist Certification Study Guide. The guide is available in print and digital format through the ISA at https://wwv.isa-arbor.com/store/product/4397/cid/17/. Course instructor is Geoff Kempter, Asplundh Technical Services.

Becoming ISA certified is a two-step process through your online MyISA Dashboard at isa-arbor.com. First, apply online to sit for a certification exam. When you receive notice that your application is approved, you may then enroll through your website account to take the exam. If you do not have an ISA website account, you may create one at the MyISA Sign-In page. Participants in this virtual course are encouraged to take the exam at a nearby Pearson Vue testing facility or visit https://wwv.isa-arbor.com/certification/becomeCertified/examDatesAndLocations?mode=exams to locate an in-person written exam.
